In a world enamored with and largely taken over by technology, it’s good to know that the old world remains alive in hidden corners of New York City. Every piece in every John Boone collection—upholstered, metal or wood—is made completely by hand and overseen by Boone and Lockwood themselves. Their upholsterers, cabinetmakers and metalworkers are all located in John Boone’s home base, and are visited at every stage of construction. John and Chris are deeply connected to the process, and share their passion for craft with their world-class artisans. Many ateliers are second or third generation—in some, father and son work side-by-side. John Boone would be impossible without them. A design is only an idea; to fulfill its promise, it must be fully and perfectly realized.
